Read about IVP's In Their Footsteps: A Play About the Women Who Served in the Vietnam War
Alison Preece of OnStage Blog about Infinite Variety's Productions' In Their Footsteps.
"Some were nurses; some were trained military; some were volunteers. They all went to Vietnam to serve their countries, and were shocked to find themselves in the middle of a war like none they’d ever heard of. They were expecting conditions comparable to the Korean War, where the battles had designated areas and the base was protected. The Viet Cong employed guerilla-style tactics, and no area was off limits to attack.
As a result, even women who volunteered with the Red Cross as part of its Supplemental Recreational Activities Overseas (S.R.A.O) program, expecting to see zero combat, found themselves in danger zones."
Leanard Jacobs writes about In Their Footsteps in the Clyde Fitch Report.
"Thousands of young American women were sent to Vietnam — at least 7,500, according to one source. Whatever the total number was, if you don’t think we talk enough about their stories, then In Their Footsteps is a play you want to know about."

The C Word World Premiere
My short play The C Word will make its premiere in NYC as part of Vulcan Theatre Company's Forge Night - An Evening of New One Act Plays.
I wrote The C Word shortly after a health scare in February 2018. The C Word follows Darcy shortly after she sees a spot on a mammogram. She contemplates how her life will change with a cancer diagnosis to a stranger she meets in a park, Ben. Darcy jumps to some extremely rash notions and impulsive changes to her life all while Ben tries to comfort her.

In Their Footsteps Review
A rave review by Carole Di Tosti of Theater Pizzazz!
In Their Footsteps
July 13-14 was the sold out run of Infinite Variety Productions' In Their Footsteps at 59E59 Theaters. Ann Kelsey and Judy Jenkins Gaudino, two of the lady's portrayed in the play about the women that served in the Vietnam war, and our biggest fans, came to see and hear their own oral histories performed. What an honor it has been to know them and to have a part in telling their stories.

Darcy has gotten a medical scan and fears the worst. She bumps into a stranger in a park, Ben, who unsuccessfully tries to quell her fears. Darcy drags Ben into an adventure fueled by a need to change her boring life into a life filled with risk taking.
In Their Footsteps

The women featured were volunteers in Special Services, WACs, an Army Nurse, and a Donut Dollie. Lilly, Jeanne, Judy, Lucky and Ann talk about their work, thoughts on the war, sexual harassment, Agent Orange, PTSD, living through the Tet Offensive and the courageous young men they met in the most horrific of circumstances.
